'Lord, without Thy words to comfort me, I would have died of misery'
This is an inscription on the grave of Leonora Christina 1621-1698 , Maribo Domkirke (Cathedral), Lolland.
She was the illegitimate daughter of Christian IV (1577-1648) and Kirsten Munk (1598-1658)
and was married in 1636 to Corfitz Ulfeldt.
She was imprisoned in the Blue Tower (Christiansborg Slot) for 22 years and
wrote the famous 'Jammersminde' (memory of lament/woe)
