Malmo, Lund, Southern Sweden and around the Øresund Tour
Only 35 kilometers from Copenhagen is the Sothern Swedish City of Malmo.
Malmo is the third largest City in Sweden after The capital Stockholm and Gothenborg.
The Southern part of Sweden is called Skåne and used to be part of Denmark many years ago.
We travel from Copenhagen to near the Airport and go across the Øresund.
There is a 16 kilometer (10 mile) trip over the Øresunds bridge which is 4 kilometers of tunnel, 4 kilometers
over a man made island and then the 8 kilometers of bridge. The Border between Denmark and Sweden is about halfway.
The Øresunds Bridge (16 kilometers - 10 miles)
We visit Malmo and visit the most extraordinary modern Turning Torso building designed by Santiago Calatrava
a Spanish bridge designer. We then take a quick walk around a small part of the Older City area and
Window shop to see the differences in style between Sweden and Denmark. Next we travel to Lund a famous
University City where Absalon (the founder of Copenhagen and Bishop of Roskilde) was Bishop
and explore the Cathedral with a gentle stroll arouind The University next door.

The Turning Torso in Malmo, Southern Sweden
One of our recommendations is to return via going Northwards parallel to Southern Swedish coastline and often
with views of the Danish Coastline to Landskrona and a typical Swedish Lunch and then onto Halsingborg and
taking the Ferry over to Helsingør sailing past Kronborg ( Hamlet's Castle and a UNESCO Workd Heritage Site)
A tour of Kronborg is an added possibility or to visit the new Maritime Museum in Helsingør.
We recommend taking Strandvejen back to Copenhagen, a journey of about 45 kilometers and is famously known
as the Danish Riviera road with good views of Sweden, the island of Ven, The Øresunds bridge and the many ships
and small boats that are able to be seen.
We also pass attractive old fishing villages and the international famous modern art gallery of Louisiana,
Karen Blixen's home ( Out of Africa), Skodborg Spa Hotel and Villa Rex, The Erimatage, Bellevue Beach
and Klampenborg which has the World's oldest amusement Park and Hvidøvre Hus a special building
overlooking The Øresund where two Danish sister Princesses who both became Empresses lived and into
Hellerup a northern Supurb of Copenhagen.
The grand around the Øresund Tour would take about 9-10 hours (including Kronborg)
The normal Øresund Tour will be about 6-9 hours ( Kronborg not included)
and the Basic Tour to Sweden ( just Malmo / Lund) will take about 4-6 hours
Erimatage Slot, Klampenborg Kronborg Slot (Hamlet's Castle and a Unesco World Heritage Site)
